Relax! Breathe!! How many times have you been told to just relax and breathe? Breathing does more than just supply oxygen for our lungs. To stay young after 50 good lung capacity is needed to supply the right amount of oxygen to our blood steam for the different organs and parts of our body, in order for our bodies to function properly.
My father-in-law enjoyed a very healthy longevity, living to be ninety two years old. He was a stair climber, climbing four flights of stairs, total forty eight steps, every time he returned home. I counted them every time I climbed them. I wasn’t a stair climber as I only have one flight in my home and I wasn’t used to climbing that many at one time. After being at his home a couple of weeks, I could definitely notice a difference in how much easier it was to make that climb. I definitely had healthier lung capacity in as little as two weeks. Having no elevators, groceries and other necessities had to be carried up as he made this climb of four flights of stairs.
My father, who is 86 years young, still does own yard work and gardening and is enjoying a healthy longevity also.

Breathing from your belly, inhaling deeply through your nose, filling your lungs to capacity from the bottom up increases lung health. Your stomach will move in and out if you are doing this correctly.
Drink a glass of wine. Researchers believe that high levels of antioxidants in wine help to protect cells from the damage from smoke and air pollution.
